Hollow Map is designed to help you save important places and return to them later. The app is built around local storage: your saved places, notes, categories, favorites, and attached photos are stored on your device unless you choose to share something yourself.
Hollow Map asks for location access only to save your current position and help you navigate back to saved places. We do not collect your movement history, continuously track your location, or store your saved location data on Hollow Map servers.
If you add images to a saved place, Hollow Map may ask for camera or photo picker access. Selected images are copied into the app’s private storage so they remain attached to your saved place. We do not upload your photos to Hollow Map servers.
Hollow Map Plus purchases are handled by the App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. RevenueCat helps us verify subscription status. We do not receive your full payment card details.
The Hollow Map website may use privacy-conscious analytics or cookies to understand usage and improve the product. These analytics are separate from your saved locations in the app.
When you share a saved place, the app may create a link containing the place name and coordinates so the recipient can open it. Only share locations with people you trust.
Because app data is stored locally, deleting a saved place removes it from the app. Deleting the app may remove locally stored places and attached images from your device, depending on your operating system and backup settings.
Hollow Map is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy as Hollow Map evolves. The latest version will be published on this page.
